Flexcon announces global relaunch of PharmCal BioMark product line

ISEGA certification confirms that the products meet strict European standards for materials used in sensitive applications.

Flexcon, a provider of coatings, film laminations, and functional technologies, has announced the global relaunch of its Flexcon PharmCal BioMark single-ply and piggyback constructions. The company engineered this line specifically for blood and plasma bag labeling.

PharmCal BioMark includes proven labeling solutions in the marketplace, and ISEGA certification confirms that they meet strict European standards for materials used in sensitive applications. This reinforces their suitability for direct use in medical and clinical environments. This certification underscores the importance of accuracy, durability, and compliance – critical factors in ensuring patient safety and meeting rigorous regulatory requirements.

“Label failure isn’t an option in this environment,” says Sara Livingston, director of product management for emerging markets, Flexcon. “PharmCal BioMark delivers labels that stay put, stay legible, and stay compliant, no matter the conditions.”

Product benefits

PharmCal BioMark polypropylene single-ply and polyethylene piggyback constructions (printable via thermal transfer or conventional) are engineered to maintain secure adhesion and legibility through extreme temperature cycling, water submersion, and centrifugation. Flexcon designed the products to safeguard critical information from collection to transfusion. Their emulsion-based adhesives also deliver high tack, strong multi-surface adhesion, and reliable chemical resistance. Meanwhile, the biocompatible formulas help prevent adhesive migration through packaging. This ensures labels stay clean, stable, and trustworthy in demanding conditions.

With verified material compliance and proven durability, PharmCal BioMark delivers reliable performance for even the most tightly regulated workflows. Products are available globally through Flexcon.
